Revision #26 · saved
Beyond the Brave gave Umbral Horror new support, and you now want an Extra Deck full of Numbers. The deck's Field Spell, Barian's Seventh Untopia, caps both players at two Special Summons from the Extra Deck per turn, Number monsters excluded. Number 104: Masquerade V searches your Barian's Spells and Traps, and Barian's Hope revives it from the GY.
You get 15 Extra Deck slots, so each Number has to earn its place. The picks below either extend your combo or answer a threat you will meet in Ranked.

Players built OTKs around Utopia Double a long time ago. In Umbral Horror it has a new job: it brings out Number 99: Utopia Dragonar and sets up your board. Utopia Double reads:
(Quick Effect): You can detach 1 material from this card; add 1 "Double or Nothing!" from your Deck to your hand, then Special Summon from your Extra Deck, 1 "Utopia" Xyz Monster, except "Number 39: Utopia Double", by using this face-up card you control as material, and if you do, its ATK becomes doubled, but it cannot attack directly. (This is treated as an Xyz Summon. Transfer its materials to the Summoned monster.) You can only use this effect of "Number 39: Utopia Double" once per turn.
Dragonar lands with 2 materials: Utopia Double itself and the material Double kept. Detach both and Dragonar Special Summons any Number from 1 to 100 out of your Extra Deck, Number C monsters such as Number C32: Shark Drake LeVeiss included. Both effects are Quick Effects, so you can wait for your opponent to commit and then pick the Number that answers their board.
The Number arrives with no materials. Banish Barian's Hope from your GY to attach a Number from your Extra Deck or GY to it, since Lancelot and Zombiestein need a material before they can negate anything.
Read these Numbers before you add them to your Extra Deck:
Number 2: Ninja Shadow MosquitoForces a battle, then becomes Zeus material
Number 22: ZombiesteinNegates a face-up card on either turn
Number 23: Lancelot, Dark Knight of the UnderworldOmni-negate while it holds material
Number 24: Dragulas the Vampiric DragonFlips Extra Deck monsters face-down
Number 38: Hope Harbinger Dragon Titanic GalaxyNegates a Spell and keeps it as material
Number 69: Heraldry CrestCopies another Xyz's name and effectNow the Double elephant in the room: Double or Nothing!. Utopia Double can't use its effect without a copy in your Deck, and you will draw that copy at the worst moment. Put it to work anyway. Barian's Seventh Untopia adds an Umbral Horror monster to your hand and then makes you discard, so Double or Nothing! pays that cost. It doubles as the Spell you discard to Xyz Summon Number C32: Shark Drake LeVeiss on top of a Rank 4 Shark Drake.
Add Utopia Rising to your Utopia package. The search on Number 104: Masquerade V is a soft once per turn: each copy can detach a material to add a Barian's Spell or Trap, so a second Masquerade V with materials gets you a second search.
After your combo sends a Masquerade V to the GY, make 2 Level 4 monsters and Xyz Summon Utopia Rising. Rising revives Masquerade V in Defense Position and moves both of its own materials onto it. That buys you one more search: another combo piece, or your Barian's counter, which extends the combo as well.
Run at least one of the two Barian's rank-ups. Rank-Up-Magic Limited Barian's Force needs a Rank 4 Xyz, the Rank your deck makes most, and brings out any Rank 5 Number C. Rank-Up-Magic Barian's Force works from any Rank into a Number C one Rank higher, as long as both monsters share a Type.
Rank up a Rank 4 Number such as Masquerade V into Number C106: Giant Red Hand and it keeps a Number as material, which its negate needs. Barian's Force on Titanic Galaxy, a Rank 8 Dragon, gives you Number C107: Neo Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon.
Number C106: Giant Red HandBig red hand jumpscare: negates the field
Number C79: Battlin' Boxer General KaiserNegates a Special Summon
Number C32: Shark Drake LeVeissInfinite Impermanence with fins
Number C107: Neo Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon DragonAnother jumpscare, off Titanic Galaxy
Number C1: Numeron Chaos Gate SunyaBanishes the whole field. Yes, yours too.The Number F0 monsters are Rank 0, and Utopia Dragonar can't fetch them: 0 sits outside its 1 to 100 range. They count as Numbers, though, so Untopia's cap leaves them alone.
Number F0: Utopic Future Slash is the easiest one to reach. Xyz Summon it on top of a Utopia you control, Utopia Double, Rising or Dragonar, and it gains 500 ATK for each Number Xyz in both GYs. Your combo sends Masquerade V and friends there anyway, and Slash can detach a material to attack twice.
Number F0: Utopic Future asks for more. It needs 2 Xyz Monsters of the same Rank that aren't Numbers, and those 2 Summons burn both of the non-Number Extra Deck Summons Untopia allows each turn. On its own it can't be destroyed by battle and borrows the monster it battles until the end of the Battle Phase. Summon it as a step toward Number F0: Utopic Draco Future, which you Xyz Summon on top of it, materials included. Draco Future can't be destroyed by battle or card effects. When your opponent activates a monster effect, it detaches a material to negate that effect and take control of the monster.
Number F0: Utopic Future Slash+500 ATK per Number in the GYs
Number F0: Utopic FutureSteals what it battles
Number F0: Utopic Draco FutureNegates a monster effect and keeps the monsterYou won't have room for every Number, so prioritize the targets that answer the matchups you expect to face. With the right mix of combo extenders, negates, and board-breaking options, your Extra Deck becomes more than a collection of flashy monsters: it becomes one of Umbral Horror's greatest strengths in Ranked.
